Embodying Textures

Everything is surrounded, enveloped, touched by the air and we are touched.

This workshop begins by observing, contemplating, touching and deeply feeling the air on a physical level. Air as invisible and intangible, perceived through the skin, through the sensors of touch, comes to surround and envelope other materials as well. Each material has a precise texture: hard, soft, heavy, light, thin, thick, cold, hot, iced, freezing, melting, folding...

In this workshop, the participants will enter into a process of sensing and then embodying. Textures become physical sensations translated into external movement and closely linked to internal movement. Body, heart and soul take on their own life through the breath of the material, the texture, its quality.

Encountering a texture fully in what is called embodiment, the process of putting textures inside the body, gives birth to a new "body life-breath quality" of movement.

The magic of this process is enchanting to see and experience. Releasing the fixed, solid entity of our 'gross' body of matter and without judgment, we open up to the 'incognito' vibration of the world becoming the image, the material, it's texture. The embodied vibration.

And...

Life is just beautiful and deep for a moment....beyond any judgment.

No matter what...

This workshop is an invitation to experience the embodiment of textures through breath, movement, movement, dance.
